Margaret is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She attended the University of Cape Coast and attained a Bachelor of Arts (English and Religion) and a Diploma in Education (1998). She then pursued the Post-First Degree in Law at the University of Ghana (2004), after which she proceeded to the Ghana School of Law and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2007. She also holds an LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from the University of Ghana School of Law. She is a certified member of the Ghana Association of Certified Mediators and Arbitrators (GHACMA) and the Centre for International Mediators and Arbitrators (CIMA).
She was an English tutor at Datus Secondary School and later worked as an Assistant Lecturer in Business Law at the Data Link University. She practiced as a State Attorney with the Ministry of Justice and worked as the Command Legal Advisor at Headquarters Southern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces. She has worked as Gender Focal Point Officer and Legal Officer at Liberia and Lebanon while on UN Peace Keeping Operations with the Ghanaian Contingent. Currently, she is a Principal Legal Officer at the Department of Legal Services of the General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces.
